Shooting Sports Begin Soon for Allen County 4-H

The Allen County 4-H Shooting sports program will offer air pistol for youth currently in grades 3-12. Cost is $40 which includes State and County 4-H program fees; air pistol program fee and use of all equipment.

This class will be held on six consecutive Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Allen County fairgrounds. Parent and youth orientation meeting will be held on Sept. 11. Class size is limited to 12 youth. Paid registration is due by Aug. 30.

The Allen County 4-H shooting sports program will offer shotgun for youth currently in grades 5-12. Cost is $75, which includes state and county 4-H program fees, shotgun program fee and use of all equipment.

Classes will be held on five consecutive Saturdays, starting Sept. 15 from noon to 2 p.m. at the St. Joe Valley Conservation Club. Parent and youth orientation meeting will be held on Sept. 15. Class size is limited to 10 youth. Paid registration is due by Sept. 5. This class has a pre-requisite, participants should have taken one or more of the other Allen County 4-H shooting sports programs.

Each discipline is taught by instructors certified through the Indiana 4-H shooting sports program of Purdue University and the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
