Elkhart Co. 4-H Sets Spring Events

Elkhart County 4-H has announced a variety of activities and events for the months of April and May.
The Elkhart County 4-H Green Committee has planned a spring sorting day for bottle caps and lids on April 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Making a reservation with Jan Robinson via email at Elkhartcountygreenfair@gmail.com is required for planning and COVID safety protocols.

10-Year Recognition
All 2021 Elkhart County 10-year 4-H members are required to register in the 4honline system to receive their five-year pass, senior spotlight and 10-year yard sign.
Global Youth Day
Elkhart County 4-H is participating in the Global Youth Day of Service on April 24 from 2-5 p.m. through Church Community Services. Four-H'ers in grades 3-12 will meet at SPA Women's Ministry to install garden beds. Registration at https://bit.ly/3urKakh is required by April 17 and masks are required to participate. Snacks will be provided, but 4-H'ers should bring work gloves and a water bottle.
Recycling Project
Elkhart County 4-H and the Elkhart Environmental Center are hosting a free recycling project workshop on May 4 from 6-7 p.m. at the Elkhart Environmental Center.

Michiana 4-H Camp
Spend a week learning about nature, meeting new people and having fun at Michiana 4-H Camp at Camp Amigo from June 8-10 for grades 3-6. Camp cost is $50 per camper. Space is limited so register at 4H Online soon.
Hacienda Gives Back Day
The next "Hacienda Gives Back Fundraiser" is at the Goshen Hacienda restaurant on May 24. A portion of what you spend at Hacienda that day will be given back to our 4-H program. A special token is required to participate. Contact the office for more information.
