The LaPorte 4-H dairy judging team competed in the Purdue Invitational Dairy Judging Contest on March 4 at Purdue. Three junior teams placed first, fifth, and sixth. There were 14 teams in the contest.
Members of the first place team are Michael Ekovich III, Brianna Martin, Brady Kessler and Anna Minich. The fifth place members team were Nathan Baima, Jordan Ryan, Matthew Duttlinger and Kate Minich. The sixth place team consisted of Mini 4-Her's Mary Minich, Hayden Lambert, Katelyn Duttlinger and Brock Kessler.
Overall in the junior division, Nathan Baima placed third Brianna Martin placed fifth, Brady Kessler placed sixth and Michael Ekovich III placed eighth overall.
The teams are coached by Mike Ekovich Sr., Brett Kessler and Peggy Grzesiowski.
