DeKalb Grower Is ICGA President

Published: Friday, January 12, 2018

The Indiana Corn Growers Assn. board elected a new leadership team at its meeting in December, including DeKalb County farmer Sarah Delbecq as president.

"Through our work with ICGA, we engage key decisionmakers to ensure that legislation and policy is shaped with Indiana corn farmers in mind," said Delbecq, who farms in Auburn with her family. "We know that decisions about agriculture too often fall outside the hands of Indiana's corn growers, and we want to do our part to ensure our leaders understand how laws and policies impact Indiana farms."

Other ICGA members elected to the ICGA executive committee include: Vice President Mike Beard of Frankfort; Treasurer Christian Rosen of Urbana; and Secretary Ronnie Mohr of Greenfield.

The ICGA board works to develop sound policies that protect and promote the interest of Indiana corn farmers and consists of farmer-directors from across the state.
