LaGrange Steam, Gas Show Slated

The 37th annual Northeast Indiana Steam and Gas Show will take place at the LaGrange County 4-H Fairgrounds on Aug. 9-11. The show begins at 9 a.m. each day.

This year's event will feature Massey Harris Tractors and Farm Equipment. The event will include steam engines, antique tractors, gas engines, antique farm machinery, sawmills, arts and crafts, a flea market and trading post. Free camping is available for exhibitors. The annual farm toy show will also be featured during the event.

Activities will take place throughout the weekend including wheat threshing, plowing with steam engines, and a 125 HP Erie steam engine operating sawmill. On Friday and Saturday evening there will be a parade of tractors and engines, as well as live music. On Friday, The Jug Huffers will perform at 7 p.m. in the Pavilion.

Saturday will include the ladies program and antique tractor pull. Live music for Saturday will be Sam Hicks and The Traveling Band beginning at 7 p.m. in the Pavilion.

Admission for the steam and gas show is $5 for adults. Ages 12 and under can attend for free with an adult. For more information contact 888/277-3184.
