Tippy Valley Soils 4-H Team Wins

On Sept. 27 the Tippecanoe Valley soils judging teams competed in the area soils contest in Hebron. The students judged four soils pits for both agriculture and homesite practices. The top six teams advanced to the state contest in Mooresville, IN on Oct. 20.
Tippecanoe Valley had the first place team in the 4-H division. Team members were Sydney Petersen (sixth individual), Hayley Backus (ninth individual), Amber Evans (fourth individual) and Brandt Alber.
Tippecanoe Valley had the second place team in the FFA division. Team members were Makenzie Woodcox (10th individual), Sarah Kelley, Cheney Canada (third individual) and Nicole Ziemek (eighth individual).
There were 30 teams and 109 Individuals.
