Busco Youths Awarded FFA Degree

Published: Friday, November 16, 2018

2017 Churubusco FFA graduates Matthew Troyer and Tate Allen recently received their American FFA Degree at the 91st National Convention in Indianapolis during a special ceremony in Lucas Oil Stadium. This year's convention drew a record 70,000 FFA members, advisors and guests from across the nation.

The American FFA Degree is awarded to FFA members who have demonstrated the highest level of commitment to FFA and made significant accomplishments in their chapter, district, and state association. The degree can only be awarded to members who have graduated from high school and have continued developing their Supervised Agricultural Experience program after graduation.

American FFA Degrees are handed out each year at the National FFA Convention. Less than half of one percent of all 654,000 FFA members from across the nation will receive this award, making it one of the organization's highest honors.

In addition to their degree certificate, each recipient receives a gold American FFA Degree key, and the honors and privileges that go with receiving this prestigious award.
