Nate Konger Earns Welding Scholarship

Churubusco FFA had a great showing at the 2019 Indiana State FFA Convention. Maggie Johnson represented Busco FFA in the State Public Speaking competition, Devyn Gaff and Mallory Johnson in the animal science demonstration, and Case Lemper and Maggie Johnson in the food science demonstration.
Case Lemper was awarded fourth place with his vegetable production proficiency. Jered Gross, Case Lemper and Maggie Johnson received their State (Hoosier) FFA Degrees during a special ceremony.
Churubusco's wildlife habitat team received a plaque for placing second in the state, and the livestock judging team a plaque for placing fourth.
Nate Konger and Blaire Foote received plaques and a chapter banner for placing first in state welding competition. Konger, who placed first individually, was presented with a new welder from Lincoln Electric, and a $10,000 scholarship to Ohio Technical Institute for his outstanding welding skills.
