Chicken 'n Waffles Casserole

10 toasted waffles

25 oz. pkg. frozen breaded chicken

8 large eggs

¾ c. milk

¼ c. maple syrup

2 Tbsp. butter, melted

Kosher salt, to taste

Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Preheat oven to 400°. Place waffles and the chicken on 2 large baking sheets. Bake waffles until golden and crispy, about 15 minutes. Bake the chicken until warmed through and crispy, about 30 minutes. Cut the waffles and the chicken into large chunks.

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, maple syrup and melted butter. Season with the salt and pepper.

Reduce oven temperature to 375°. In a 913" baking pan, layer the waffle pieces and the chicken pieces. Pour the egg mixture over the chicken and waffles. Bake until golden and set, about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Serve warm with maple syrup. —8 servings.
