Area Beef Meetings Announced

Area beef meetings are scheduled to take place around the state starting on Dec. 10 and running through Jan. 8.
These meetings are open to any beef producers in the state and will include a free meal and presentations about current topics of interest to beef producers, an educational session presented by members of the Purdue Beef Team, an update on issues from the Indiana State Board of Animal Health, and updates on the activities of the Indiana Beef Cattle Assn. and the Indiana Beef Council. Elections will be held at a few of the area meetings to fill open area director positions on the IBCA/IBC board of directors.
All beef producers are highly encouraged to attend the area meeting of their choice. To register, visit www.indianabeef.org or call one of the numbers listed below.
The meeting schedule is as follows:
• Area 1 (Bartholomew, Brown, Dearborn, Decatur, Jefferson, Jennings, Ohio, Ripley and Switzerland), 6 p.m., Dec. 10 at SE Purdue Ag Center, Butlerville. Register by Dec. 3 to 812/438-3656.
• Area 2 (Clark, Crawford, Floyd, Harrison, Jackson, Lawrence, Orange, Scott and Washington), noon, Dec. 14 at Springmill State Park Inn, Mitchell. Register by Dec. 7 to 812/338-5466.
