Published: Friday, May 8, 2026
Lallemand Animal Nutrition, a global leader in microbial solutions for animal health and performance, today announced the opening of applications for its 12th annual Lallemand Scholarship Program. The program supports outstanding students pursuing careers in agriculture, veterinary medicine and related fields, helping invest in the future of animal agriculture.
Now in its 12th year, the scholarship program reflects Lallemand's long-standing commitment to education and industry advancement. Since its inception, the program has supported dozens of students across North America, many of whom have gone on to become leaders in animal nutrition, animal health and agricultural sciences.
"At Lallemand, we believe the future of agriculture depends on the next generation of scientists, veterinarians, nutritionists and producers," said Jeff Ast, commercial director—North and South America, Lallemand Animal Nutrition. "By supporting students across a wide range of disciplines and education levels, we are investing in the people who will drive innovation and sustainability across our industry."
Lallemand will award five scholarships to students pursuing agriculture-related degrees: two undergraduate scholarships of $2,500 each, one master's level scholarship of $3,000, one doctoral level (PhD) scholarship of $3,000, and one doctor of veterinary medicine (DVM) level scholarship of $3,000.
The program is open to full-time students enrolled at accredited institutions in the U.S., Canada or Mexico. Eligible majors are not limited to animal science or nutrition; students pursuing any agriculture or agriculture-related field are encouraged to apply.
Applications opened May 1 and close Sept. 30. Submissions are evaluated based on academic achievement, leadership, a demonstrated interest in agriculture and an essay highlighting creativity, originality and forward-thinking perspectives.
Lallemand's scholarship program is designed to support students at key stages of academic and professional development, offering meaningful investment across multiple education levels.
"Programs like this not only provide financial support but also reinforce that agriculture is an industry built on mentorship, innovation and opportunity," Ast said. "We're proud to play a role in helping students pursue careers that will shape the future of food production."
